This summer, Alique Fisher ’22 is growing her startup company, øats, in Boston, Mass.

In an effort to bring multilingual worlds home to ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ students, Professors Matthew Miller and Mahadevi Ramakrishnan from the German and French departments led 16 students on a one-week excursion to the TriRhena region in May. 

Computer science major Caio Rodrigues Faria Brighenti ’20, from São Paulo, Brazil, is conducting research on fake news, or intentionally misleading information.

Writers from across the country and around the world convened for a week of workshops, craft lectures, shop talks, and readings in June.

Two ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ students accompanied Mahadevi Ramakrishnan, senior lecturer in French, to Santa Marta last month to present at the 44th Caribbean Studies Conference, hosted by the Caribbean Studies Association.
