Dorsey Spencer Jr., director of administration in the office of the vice president for student affairs at Florida State University, has been named dean of students at �Ա���Ƶ.

With the arrival of �Ա���Ƶ’s third century, new iconography will highlight the leading characteristics of Residential Commons namesakes and link those noble traits, in perpetuity, to the University’s living-learning communities.

On November 8, �Ա���Ƶ joined in a nationwide celebration of first-generation college students. Anthony Wright ’20, Diana Flores ’20, and Arturo Max Longoria ’21 are among those community members who are the first in their families to attend college.

�Ա���Ƶ’s 15th president, Rebecca S. Chopp, will be recognized for her leadership with an endowed chair in the humanities, named in her honor.

�Ա���Ƶ announced today that the estate of John T.C. (Cuy) Low ’39 has made an additional gift of $5.2 million to the Jeanie and Cuy ’39 Low Endowed Scholarship Fund, raising its total value to more than $7 million and expanding its impact on current undergraduates.

As �Ա���Ƶ’s first-year students moved into residence halls, the Institution also welcomed 58 new faculty members to campus.

MacDonell “Don” Roehm Jr. ’61 earned All-American and All-State honors for his skill as a �Ա���Ƶ soccer fullback. His passion for protecting �Ա���Ƶ athletics off the field as well was enshrined in a $4 million endowment bequest.
