Two-time Pulitzer Prize winner, New York Times critic at large, and co-host of the podcast Still Processing Wesley Morris will provide remarks at �Ա���Ƶ’s 201st commencement, Sunday, May 22. 

Students, faculty, and staff gathered in Memorial Chapel on Tuesday morning for a vigil of solidarity with the people of Ukraine. The gathering was one of several moments during which �Ա���Ƶ community members have joined together to show their support for victims of the invasion since it began on Feb. 24.

�Ա���Ƶ has received an all-time record number of applications for admission.

The upward trend follows on the heels of last year’s 6.4% increase in ED applications and historic 104% increase in total applications.

Two members of the �Ա���Ƶ Class of 2021, Jake Gómez and William “Paul” McAvoy, will share this year’s 1819 Award, which recognizes character, scholarship, and service to others, best exemplifying the �Ա���Ƶ spirit.

President Joe Biden this week labeled the deaths of more than a million Armenians killed at the hands of Ottoman Turks in 1915 as genocide, a public recognition that �Ա���Ƶ English professor and Pulitzer Prize winner Peter Balakian has urged for decades. 

Graduates in the Class of 2021 will be recognized and celebrated in-person commencement at Andy Kerr Stadium on Sunday, May 9, 2021. 

�Ա���Ƶ received an all-time record number of applications for admission, shattering all previous records in the history of this two-century old liberal arts college.
