A little piece of Hollywood is coming to downtown Hamilton this summer thanks to the efforts of Grant Slater ’91 and his two brothers, Wade and Todd. They are the sons of the late ԱƵ men’s hockey coach Terry Slater, and founders of Slater Brothers Entertainment (SBE).
SBE will hold its first-ever Hamilton Film Festival and Awareness Walk from Aug. 7-8.
The festival will feature the screening of five films, each with a local connection or touching on familiar local themes.
“This is a particularly special event for Hamilton and Central New York because of the longtime ties of the Slater family to the community,” said Chuck Fox ’70, manager of the Hamilton Movie Theater. “The schedule is great, and the films featured offer something for everyone.”
