Two legal scholars addressed the issue of a Constitutional crisis within the United States during �Ա���Ƶ’s annual Constitution Day Debate on Sept. 18, taking sides on whether such a crisis exists and answering questions from the audience gathered in �Ա���Ƶ Memorial Chapel. 

This summer, 19 �Ա���Ƶ Upstate Institute Field School Fellows partnered with community organizations in and around Hamilton and the Adirondacks to pursue research projects that directly addressed a need or issue identified by the community partner organization.

Jonathan Turley, the J.B. and Maurice C. Shapiro Professor of public interest law at George Washington University, and Michael Klarman, the Charles Warren Professor of legal history at Harvard Law School, will debate “Is There a Constitutional Crisis? How Would We Know?”

The expansion aligns with the University’s Third-Century Plan, a long-term roadmap aimed at making �Ա���Ƶ the nation’s finest undergraduate institution.

Pipcorn co-founder Jen Martin will bring more than a decade of experience building brands from the ground up, when she begins working with �Ա���Ƶ’s student entrepreneurs as the new Weiner Family Entrepreneur in Residence in the Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (E&I).

Professor of English and Creative Writing Jennifer Brice has been appointed to serve as Gretchen Hoadley Burke ’81 Endowed Chair in regional studies for the 2025–26 academic year.

The exhibit focuses on the history and stories behind personal possessions, art, books, documents, and other items in the museum’s collection.

State and regional experts recently visited �Ա���Ƶ to share their perspectives on issues raised in Matthew Desmond’s book.

�Ա���Ƶ’s Center for Freedom and Western Civilization hosted Jonathan Turley on April 22 for a discussion on freedom of speech in the United States.

The Poetry Machine is making its way around �Ա���Ƶ and Hamilton, N.Y., thanks to �Ա���Ƶ’s Upstate Institute and the University Libraries in partnership with the Adirondack Center for Writing.
